Keeper of Souls (The Faith Healer’s Daughters Book 3)

Keeper of Souls (The Faith Healer's Daughters Book 3)Keeper of Souls by Sheila English
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bravo Sheila! This is an epic end to a great series! I was enthralled from the very first page. I honestly had a hard time putting this book down to do real life things, like work, cook, clean, ect…. There’s a saying that says something like, “you know it’s a good book when you turn the last page and you feel like you’ve lost a friend.” Well I’ve just lost six friends! But more so Elizabeth and Cole. Their characters were often misunderstood throughout the first two books, but their story is simply amazing! Their struggles and issues from their past made them strong enough to face their future turmoils and greatest foe. I wish I could give spoilers but I just can’t! Just know this book is full of action, forgiveness, love, and magic. Go get this book once it comes out, and if you haven’t read the first two go get them! You won’t be disappointed. Happy reading my friends!

Sapphique (Incarceron #2)

Sapphique (Incarceron, #2)Sapphique by Catherine Fisher

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great book. I liked it better than Incarceron, because it tells the ending of a great adventure story. The King has stopped time, and forbade the practice of science, and hidden a massive living prison in plain view. However, not everyone knows where or what the prison is. Claudia and Finn must now find a way to save not only the outside world from the Queen and the imposter Prince, but also save their loved ones from the ever vengeful, living prison of Incarceron.

Book Summary:
Finn has escaped from the terrible living Prison of Incarceron, but its memory torments him, because his brother Keiro is still inside. Outside, Claudia insists he must be king, but he doubts even his own identity. Is he the lost prince Giles? Or are his memories no more than another construct of his imprisonment?

The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave, #1)The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you’re in the mood for a dystopian adventure then this book is for you! I honestly hated not being able to listen to the story all the way through. Unfortunately real life had to come first a few times. The story follows a few teens and how they try to survive the 5th wave. But what is the 5th wave? You’ll have to read or listen to it to find out! Happy reading my friends.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother-or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

This series just keeps getting better! I found myself enthrall with the story of Lionheart and Rose Red. I can say much or I’d give spoilers which is what I don’t do, but the characters are relatable and very likeable. The story and setting will have you turning the page sooner than you want too!

This is such a sweet story! Well the ending was really sweet with an amazing twist! I never saw that coming! If you’re into a YA time traveling stories then pick this book up! You’ll be glad you did. This book had me on my toes almost the entire way through. There are a few twists that will leave your jaw on the floor, plus the way she writes the story will have you living in that timeline.

Book Summary:
Casey Donovan has issues: hair, height and uncontrollable trips to the 19th century! And now this –she’s accidentally taken Nate Mackenzie, the cutest boy in the school, back in time.

Protocol pressures her to tell their 1860 hosts that he is her brother, and when Casey finds she has a handsome, wealthy (and unwanted) suitor, something changes in Nate. Are those romantic sparks or is it just “brotherly” protectiveness?

When they return to the present, things go back to the way they were before: Casey parked on the bottom of the rung of the social ladder and Nate perched high on the very top. Except this time her heart is broken. Plus, her best friend is mad, her parents are split up, and her younger brother gets escorted home by the police. The only thing that could make life worse is if, by some strange twist of fate, she took Nate back to the past again.

Which of course, she does.

Chivalrous (Valiant Hearts #2)

Chivalrous (Valiant Hearts, #2)Chivalrous by Dina L. Sleiman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow! This is a great story! I found myself wanting to just finish it in one sitting but life kind of had it own plans. This story is about Allen and how he sets off on his own. He finds himself in a new land with new friends, but along the way he finds out what it means to become a just and fair knight. There might even be a little romance to come his way by a fierce lady named Gwen. I can’t say to much or I’d spoil the book for you. So go out there and read this book! I can’t wait to dig into the third one!

When handsome, good-hearted Allen of Ellsworth arrives in Edendale searching for his place in the world, Gwendolyn spies in him the sort of fellow she could imagine marrying. Yet fate seems determined to keep them apart. Tournaments, intrigue, and battles–along with twists and turns aplenty–await these two as they struggle to find love, identity, and their true destinies.
