Dog with a Bone (Black Dog #1)

Dog with a Bone (Black Dog, #1)Dog with a Bone by Hailey Edwards
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From the very beginning of this book you are running. There is no slowing down, not for the story line, characters, or the reader. I guess that is why I read it so quickly. It’s fast paced and full of action. We get to meet Thierry, a half-blood who is just finishing out her training to become a Marshall to all those that are Fey or not of human origin. She quickly get thrown into a case that has her running around Texas with her instructor and fellow Marshall Shaw, who’s an incubus. Things heat up and the case gets more twisted as the story goes on. And just when you think its over it’s not. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Book Summary:
Half-bloods with Thierry’s skill set are given two options. They can join the conclave’s marshal program, or they can pack their bags. Turn down the job offer, and you’ve just shredded your residency pass for the mortal realm and booked yourself a one-way ticket to Faerie.

Texas is the only home Thierry has ever known, and she’s not going anywhere. Even if it means following in her notorious father’s footsteps as a peacekeeper. But pinning on the badge opens her eyes to the fact sometimes fae need protection too, and that sometimes humans are the real monsters
