Daemon Seer (The Daemon World #1)

Daemon Seer (The Daemon World, #1)Daemon Seer by Mary Maddox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Seriously WTF!? did I just read. I can’t even being to describe it. The story captured my attention from the beginning but also left me confused most of the time. Maybe, because this was the second book? I don’t know, but I found myself questioning everything I read. This is not your typical smooth, mysterious, everything turns out fine in the end Supernatural book. This book is dark, scary, crude, and down right disgusting at times. It’s everything I don’t like in books, but also everything I love! Doesn’t that confuse you, lol. Sometimes I need to read a dark book to appreciate the lighter ones. Dive into this book if you dare, but I WARNED you it’s not for the faint of heart. Happy reading my friends!

Seeker (Seeker, #1)Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I got this book a while back as an ARC from Netgalley.com
It took me while to get through this book. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the best I’ve read. At first you are drawn into the world of young Quin and her friends as they live and train to become Seekers like their families have before them. However, things are muddled, twisted, and not what it seems as Quin learns the truth of what it means to become a one. The story is action packed and full of twists and turns. Some might love it, while others like it, and some might just not think much of it. So with that said, read it for yourself and see if you like it.

Two words NAILED IT!!!! OMG, truly this a Must Read book! The author Nailed the writing style of Jane Austen, Nailed the personalities of the Bennets, including Mrs. Bennet! Overall this is just an amazing read! I can’t gush enough about it. What can go wrong with a story that includes the Bennet’s and Zombies? Nothing at All! So grab your coffee, tea, or a drink of your choice and enjoy the read.

Book Summary:
Journey Back to Regency England – Land of the Undead!

Readers will witness the birth of a heroine in Dawn of the Dreadfuls – a thrilling prequel set four years before the horrific events of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. As our story opens, the Bennet sisters are enjoying a peaceful life in the English countryside. They idle away the days reading, gardening, and daydreaming about future husbands – until a funeral at the local parish goes strangely and horribly awry.

Suddenly corpses are springing from the soft earth – and only one family can stop them. As the bodies pile up, we watch Elizabeth Bennet evolve from a naive young teenager into a savage slayer of the undead. Along the way, two men vie for her affections: Master Hawksworth is the powerful warrior who trains her to kill, while thoughtful Dr. Keckilpenny seeks to conquer the walking dead using science instead of strength. Will either man win the prize of Elizabeth’s heart? Or will their hearts be feasted upon by hordes of marauding zombies? Complete with romance, action, comedy, and an army of shambling corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls will have Jane Austen rolling in her grave – and just might inspire her to crawl out of it!

Ender’s Game (The Ender Quintet #1)

Ender's Game (Ender's Saga, #1)Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh wow, what in the freak did I just read! One of the best books I’ve ever gotten my hands on! I’m seriously still in shock and awe, even though I finished this book in one day. It took me a while to digest some of what happened. I know some people didn’t like it and that’ fine, but for me this book is on my Must Read List for anyone! I couldn’t put it down, and I know this is book I’ll pass on to my child. This story follows young Ender through Battle School where he is being trained and getting tested to become a Commander for a fleet. What follows is absolutely pure mayhem, shock, and triumph! You MUST read this book, and if you have little ones have them read it! If you saw the movie then just know that the book is WAY better! As the movie left lots of stuff out! Go get it and read it NOW!
