West Branch The Settling

West Branch The SettlingWest Branch The Settling by Melissa McLaughlin

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A short but good read. I love how the character evolved with each obstacle they had to face. The descriptions of the scenery and area are just amazing. I felt like I was in the land of Wy with them. This book has a whimsical feel about it. Sometimes the secondary characters and the land of Wy itself reminded me of the movie characters from Labyrinth. Overall it’s a great read if you are looking for an afternoon adventure.

Book Summary:
In a place far away, or perhaps close by, lies the Land of Wy. It is a magical place powered by Witch and the gypsy waters of Jinn. The Land of Wy has been shaped by a tale of love lost, a tale which invoked the outlawing of love for all its residents. Now, the rogue Witch Niyya has come to the human world to engender the help of seventeen year old Ivy May in her illegal quest for love. A settling must occur in order for Ivy to discover who she is and who she must be.
