Blood Apples (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #6)Blood Apples by Cameron Jace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Told from the view point of Prince Charming, this book describes his love for Snow White, and how we have red apples today. It has hints of other stories and also introduces use to Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel.

Mary Mary Quite Contrary (The Grimm Diaries Prequels #5) by Cameron Jace

Mary Mary Quite Contrary (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #5)Mary Mary Quite Contrary by Cameron Jace

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The story line was good as usual but I had a hard time reading due to the fact that the time kept on switching in the book, or referring to a time in future that didn’t happen yet. For example, the Devil found a mirror that hasn’t been invented yet. He wanted to go to earth so he dressed up as John Wayne and ended in the 1600’s. Okay so if glass mirrors haven’t been invented yet then how does he know about John Wayne. Just little issues like this brought the Star rating down. Even though I really want to give it a two star I gave it a three since I like twisted fairy tales.

Ladle Rat Rotten Hut (The Grimm Diaries Prequels #4) by Cameron Jace

Ladle Rat Rotten Hut (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #4)Ladle Rat Rotten Hut by Cameron Jace

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I honestly don’t know what to think about this book. A part of me likes it and a part me doesn’t. The story line was good and as always the twists this tales takes is wonderful, but some of the sentences and wording just got to me. I had to reread several passages over and over again just to make sense of some scenes and the way the author kept on tripling words like run, run, run, chop, chop, chop, was annoying to me to say the least. Maybe that is why I had to keep taking breaks while reading it.

Beauty Never Dies (The Grimm Diaries Prequels #3)

Beauty Never Dies (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #3)Beauty Never Dies by Cameron Jace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What can I say about this story? I’m almost at a lost for words. This story is told from the view point of Peter Pan, yes I know…. It tells of his love for his Darling and how he needs to wake her from her sleep. I can’t really say more or I would spoil the book for everyone. You must remember this are just short stories that will lead up to a book about the twist and turn of our beloved fairy tales.

Ashes to Ashes and Cinder to Cinder (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #2)Ashes to Ashes and Cinder to Cinder by Cameron Jace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another good short story. This one is about Alice Grimm who with the help of a Dreamhunter named Loki goes into a dead “witches” dream to save Cinderella. How do they save Cinderella? Well you’ll just to read to find out. A nice little twist towards the end of the story.

Snow White Blood Red

Snow White Blood Red (The Grimm Diaries Prequels, #1)Snow White Blood Red by Cameron Jace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love how the author twisted the Snow White story!!! I don’t wish to spoil the book for others so I won’t give away to many details. Telling the story from the The Evil Queen perspective on how the original story has been altered by one of the Grimm brothers is really interesting. The Queen goes on to state that neither she nor Snow White are whom and what they seem to be! I can’t wait to read the next short story!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just love this story line! It brings me back to my childhood reading fairy tales and going on great adventures. In this book I get to know the character more and the twists the story takes is a good one. I cant wait for the next book to come out! Well I at least hope there will be a next book since this one ended on a cliffhanger!
