A Rush of Wings

A Rush of WingsA Rush of Wings by Kristen Heitzmann

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not my typical genre but a great read none the less. I found myself identifying with the main character which was good. If you want a good read this book would be the one for you

From Goodreads.com:
Running from terrors both recent and remembered, Noelle flees her New York mansion for the Rocky Mountains, seeking a place to hide from the men who betrayed her. Her sanctuary is a horse ranch, where she discovers solace in the breathtaking scenery she paints. But as the attentions of two brothers slowly soften the wall she hides behind, the past she yearns to escape becomes a menacing threat she cannot deny. Will Noelle find courage to give her broken heart to the One whose perfect love casts out all fear? Kristen Heitzmann skillfully creates a story resonating with emotion and a poignant spiritual journey

Warm Bodies

Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1)Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love this Zombie named R!!! Wow never thought I’d say that about a zombie, especially since I have nightmares about them almost weekly. However, R is different. He talks, he thinks, and I just love is “inner voice and banter”. I don’t know what else I can say about this but besides I absolutely love love love it!!! I say if you want a funny,a bit twisted and nontraditional this is the book for you!! The only reason why I rated this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do have a fear of zombies

From Goodreads.com:
A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.

R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead.

Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.
